Outlier<\/a> – the global virtual data visualization conference \u2013 will be back for its second edition on February 4-5, 2022. The first event was a huge success and we\u2019re excited to offer another one to the community. Don\u2019t miss your chance to become a partner!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Outlier?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Outlier is an inclusive, diverse and creative data visualization conference. We run a public call for speakers, which attracts not only well known thought leaders, but also people you may not have heard of who are shaping the field. We host the conference online and provide income-conscious ticketing options, so that everyone anywhere in the world can join. Attendees participate in the design of the conference by suggesting and facilitating their own sessions. They also network and build long-lasting connections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outlier is both a celebration of our community\u2019s talents and a glimpse into future data visualization developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlights from last year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first Outlier conference was a huge success. We received so many applications to speak from around the world that we decided to add an entire day to the conference! Nearly 1,000 people attended the event from 60 different countries. We hosted 57 curated speakers<\/a>, some of which spoke at a conference for the very first time. The community loved the event too and was inspired to network, facilitate their own sessions and present lighting talks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s new this year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year, we are working hard to preserve the Outlier vision and spirit. We are working on finalising a rich and diverse speaker lineup. We are also determined to push the boundaries of what a virtual conference can be. This is why we have partnered up with Sparkle Spaces<\/a>, an outstanding event platform that will allow us to create an interactive experience for our attendees and custom spaces and solutions for our sponsors to meet them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
